Is Online Gambling Legal in the US?

While the federal government may want to keep online gambling legal, the majority of Americans disagree. In fact, the United States Department of Justice has not even approved a single online gambling site. In a hearing held by the U.S. House of Representatives’ Judiciary Committee, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that online wagering is legal, although many states have different laws regarding online gambling. The Fifth Circuit is the most likely court to overturn the Department of Justice’s position.
